Become a Speaker in Phoenix and Join our Speaker’s Bureau
All speakers give FREE presentations. This means there is no charge, no honorarium, no mileage costs. This service is 100% FREE to groups needing speakers.
There are thousands of groups in the Phoenix area looking for speakers for their meetings, conferences, assemblies and social events. How do we know? FreeSpeakers.org has been providing pro bono speakers for these groups. Every day, program chairpersons come to our website searching for interesting speakers.
When Free Speakers began 20 years ago it was completely free for all, including speakers. Over the years, expenses of running the bureau and website have increased considerably. We now charge a nominal annual fee to speakers to ensure the bureau can thrive. We offer three membership options:
Basic Membership – $34.99 per year
- Profile Page – Includes a headshot photo and bio to highlight you as an expert in your field.
- Topics – List one or two topics (Each topic may be listed in a separate category)
Advanced Membership – $49.99 per year
- Profile Page – Includes a headshot photo and bio to highlight you as an expert in your field.
- Topics – List up to four topics (Each topic may be listed in a separate category)
- Exposure – Advanced speaker’s profile and one topic ranks higher than basic members
- Search Engine Optimization (SEO) – Include a link to your website.
Elite Membership – $99 per year
- Profile Page – Includes a headshot photo and bio to highlight you as an expert in your field.
- Topics – List up to ten topics (Each topic may be listed in a separate category)
- Home Page Feature – Speaker profile and one topic is rotated on the Free Speakers home page.
- Maximum Exposure – Elite speaker’s profile and two topics rank higher than advanced and basic members.
- Search Engine Optimization (SEO) – Include a link to your website.
- Social Media – Include a link to your social media profiles (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn)
- YouTube – Embed a YouTube video on your profile page
More Information About Joining
We’ve been providing free speakers to the community in Chicago since 1996 and now Milwaukee, Indianapolis and Phoenix. Read reviews about FreeSpeakers.org from speakers and program chairpersons on Google, Facebook and Yelp.
Our annual fee does not guarantee a certain number of requests. That’s up to the groups, but we do make every effort to give you exposure. When ten or so new speakers join FreeSpeaker.org, we send out a “New to FreeSpeakers.org” email newsletter to all the contacts who have used our service in the past. Hopefully, this gets you started with a bang.
Here’s How it Works:
We receive speaker requests almost daily from group program chairpersons. After he or she has had a chance to review the list, the chairperson will request a topic/speaker. When you’re requested, we send an e-mail letting you know which of your topics has been selected. We provide the contact person’s name, phone number, email address and other details. At that point, we step aside.
Within three business days, you contact the person. Go over the details, the date, the directions, etc. Be sure to exchange phone numbers. Frequently, the contact person will request a written bio about you. Many of these groups publish your information in their organization’s newsletter and/or send a press release to their local newspaper.
It is a firm policy of FreeSpeakers.org that you call the group within three days. Even if you have to turn down the talk, please call within three days. You do not need to inform FreeSpeakers.org whether you accepted or declined the request.
