Gene Irwin manages the relationship with the GSA / DoD and USA Fleet contracts for VERDEK, LLC, the major Pioneer of EV Charging Station solutions since 2008. With over 7,000 port installations nationwide to monitor and manage 24/7/365, VERDEK is unique in supporting the commercial aspect of EVSE (Electric Vehicle Support Equipment) from infrastructure and installation, to training and maintaining the equipment. All EV (electric vehicles) require the use of EV charging stations.
VERDEK is expert at advising businesses large and small on the best course of action to implement EV Charging Stations, whether they are located at schools, municipalities or federal / DoD sites.
Gene Irwin is a graduate engineer, with expertise in Chemical, Mechanical, Nuclear and Thermodynamics Engineering. He has created over $250 million in sales of capital equipment, software, and service agreements, and is an expert in Operations, Sales, Marketing, R&D, Finance and Engineering.
Gene’s approach to speaking to audiences large and small is to tailor the discussion to each audience and convey technical matters in an easy-to-grasp language, so that listeners of all backgrounds will gain knowledge with an action plan to use that information which best suits their needs.
Prior to the VERDEK,LLC technical responsibilities, Gene developed and managed a $25 Million development project; Created a new marketing district of over $7 Million in direct revenue; As Managing Director of a Mergers & Acquisition company, conducted detailed documentary and accounting P&L reviews of over 230 companies valued at $175 Million in preparation for their acquisition. Gene was instrumental in taking a 40-person software firm through its IPO.
