Albert Monreal Quihuis is a Multi-Award-Winning Author in 3 different genres. His most recent book is “The Legacy Journal, The Treasure Map to Your Life and Heritage.” The history of the world is not complete until your story is told. It has received three awards for the “Best Gift Book, Best Activity Book and Best Self-Help Guide.” In 2018, he published an inspirational historical memoir, “Better Than Me, Three Generations of Inner Strength,” it received 2 first place International Latino Book Awards, “Most Inspirational and Best Story with a Latina Theme.” Albert started writing multicultural books to inspire young people to learn more about their culture, traditions, and being proud of their heritage, “The Sofia and Pepe the Parrot Adventure Series.”
Albert is a native of Arizona, and has traced his family to the 1700s in Arizona. He is an Arizona historian and speaker. He served in the United State Air Force and graduated from Arizona State University. Albert has served on the board of directors and member of many professional, civic and non-profit organizations. Most recently, Tempe History Society, Arizona Humanities, Mesa Art Center Committee, Arizona Historical Society, First Families of Arizona, and Arizona Authors Association.

This is a presentation of the wild history of Arizona. Its prospecting and mining towns, saloons, gambling, brothels, lawless gunfighting days, Tombstone, the OK Corral, Pleasant Valley War, the Baron of Arizona, stagecoach robberies, cattle rustlers, military forts, and the Indian Wars.
It is a wonder how Arizona was able to achieve statehood as the 48th State. The driving forces behind this were the 5C’s: Copper, Cattle, Cotton, Citrus, Climate, and the Roosevelt Dam which created large-scale irrigation and hydroelectric power. Are the 5C’s still important today, or were they cut off at the pass and are there new 5C’s in town?
In 1906 there was a preservation effort, that led to the passage of the Antiquities Act, designed to protect natural, historic, and scientific interest. Only Congress and the President can designate a National Monuments or Park. This is a fantastic road trip to explore and discover Arizona National Monuments and Parks, its most unusual geological formations, stunning deserts, mountains, ancient cliff dwellings, places of historic significance and scientific interest.
